Nyaaya
Mitra
Programme
Nyaaya Mitras aren't meant to be lawyers. Our paralegals wear the hat of interpreters, educators, listeners, and bridges. They sit with people in their homes, listen to stories that would have gone unheard, and help people take the first, often scariest, step into the legal process. They don't just provide information—they offer something rarer: time, presence, and skin in the game.
Campus
Ambassador
Programme
Our Campus Ambassadors take the law off the page and into real life. Their work makes the law accessible to their local communities and shapes them into leaders who can walk into any room, any street, any courtroom, and know how to make the law work for the people who need it most.

The Journey
of a Nyaaya Mitra of a Nyaaya Mitra
It all begins community leaders who hold deep trust in their communities and a curiosity for law – our training builds the imagination and skills for law as a tool for real change in their own neighbourhoods.
Discovery
We identify and invite these leaders to step into the role of a justice bearer — someone ready to take legal action to protect and uplift their community.

BuildingJustTech
Introducing the Nyaaya Mitra Chatbot: OutLawed India has built a chatbot to help our Nyaaya Mitras easily record and track case information as if they were texting a team member! The bot and a supporting case management system was built collaboratively – using “vibe coding” – AI-enabled coding that allows for a speedy, iterative process of building technology.
